Bugtussling makes you smile!
Meet Mona Miller — aka Cousin Jessie
Mona Miller, affectionately known as Cousin Jessie, is the heart and soul behind Convoy of Honor. A proud U.S. Veteran, Mona has never stopped serving. After returning home from military service, she devoted her life to honoring and supporting Veterans in every way she could.
Mona is also a gifted storyteller. When she shares stories, she often steps into her beloved Cousin Jessie character—bringing tales to life with warmth, humor, and deep patriotism that resonates with all who hear her.
A Heart for Service
Fueled by gratitude for those who serve, Mona works tirelessly throughout the year to give back. One of her many acts of kindness includes organizing and cooking an annual Thanksgiving dinner for all Branson-area First Responders—a heartfelt thank-you to those who protect and serve the community every day.
From the People’s Convoy to a Movement of Her Own
In 2022, after taking part in the People’s Convoy, Mona was deeply moved by a simple but powerful message from Brian Brase: “Go home and work at the state level.”
That call to action sparked something within her. Inspired by the patriotism and unity she witnessed—and driven by her deep love for Veterans—Mona envisioned something lasting: a movement that would bring people together in honor, gratitude, and purpose.
From that vision, Convoy of Honor was born.
Partnering with USA Superheroes
Along her journey, Mona met Steve Spurgeon, co-founder of USA Superheroes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to Veterans and First Responders. Steve’s mission is to uplift spirits and bring healing through entertainment and helping shine a light on the realities of PTSD faced by those who serve.
Steve performed at both the first and second Convoy of Honor events. As the bond between their missions deepened, so did their partnership.
The first Convoy of Honor was not profitable—covering venue costs, food, banners, and more consumed all the donations. But by the second year, the event gained momentum and raised additional funds, which Mona proudly donated to USA Superheroes.
Today, 100% of all funds raised through Convoy of Honor go directly to support the mission of USA Superheroes.
What Convoy of Honor Stands For

Convoy of Honor continues to grow each year, but our core values remain the same. Together, we are more than an organization—we are a patriot family, united by love and purpose, bonded in gratitude, and committed to making a difference.
